Marble Eyes Walleye Tournament

We are writing you to personally inform all Marble Eyes tournament anglersthat the Espanola Game and Fish Club and the Marble Eyes Tournament Committeehas regrettably decided not to host a spring Marble Eyes Walleye Tournament.

We believe, that at this point, the economic situation would not allow our club to host a profitable tournament. Another very important factor considered in making this decision was again, the water level in The Spanish River. Our river is actually lower at this time than it was last spring when we had to cancel the 2010 tournament.The amount of winter precipitation we got over the last few months was not sufficientenough to guarantee that the water levels would rise to a level high enough to hold a safe tournament this year.

We are enclosing a checque for the entry fee you left with our club for the 2011,tournament. 

We hope that the economic and climate conditions improve sufficiently to allow our clubto host a successful tournament in 2012.
